Neighbors invited next week to discuss what changes light rail will bring to town

Neighbors are invited to join city and transit officials to discuss changes to Lynnwood that are planned for the future light rail station.

The event on Saturday, April 2 begins at 10 a.m. starting at 4710 196th Street Southwest in Lynnwood. The event is free, but registration is required.

Specifically, attendees will examine how walking will play a role in designing a healthy, safe and connected community.

The event includes a walking tour of an area of Lynnwood, complete with seven stops to discuss future plans, such as the light rail station, economic development and an update to the city’s trail master plan.

The five speakers will include officials from First Feet, the City of Lynnwood, Community Transit, Sound Transit and the Washington State Department of Transportation.
