Even several days after the grand opening, the new Dick’s Drive-In at 220th and Highway 99 continues to be a huge draw.
More burgers were sold on Friday than in a single day at a single restaurant ever in the company’s 57-year history. The previous record was smashed by more than 30 percent.
On Thursday’s opening day, the restaurant came close to running out of buns. “We had to make a couple of bun runs to other drive-ins to keep the burgers going. Our Edmonds team did an amazing job keeping up with the thousands of orders,” Dick’s Vice President Jim Spady said.
One customer wrote on the company’s Facebook page, “we drove by the new store at 3:00 on Sunday. The lines were probably 75 feet deep. We came back by at 8:00 in the evening. They were even deeper.”
Dick’s says they are considering installing a Web cam so customers can check the wait times.
highway 99 & 220th st sw, not 200th.
Thanks for catching that!

I ate at the newest Dick’s Drive-In just two days after eating at the Dick’s on Holman. I had the Deluxe at both of them. Holman Road tasted the same as all the Seattle Dick’s Drive-Ins, but the newest one in Lynnwood actually tasted much better. It’s now my favorite Dick’s for burgers. Kyle
