The Lynnwood location of Five Guys Burgers opened Saturday morning near the corner of 164th and Alderwood Mall Parkway, and it’s already proving to be very popular.
Lynnwood Today reader Ian G. sent us this account yesterday:
We showed up at 11 am (just as doors were opening) and it was packed. I actually counted, that by 11:25 am (again this is Sunday morning), they were at order number 30! That is over 1 order served every minute. I thought that the prices were going to be comparable to Dick’s, but I thought they were a little high for a ‘cheap burger’ joint. Prices ranged from $3.50 – $5.99 for a burger. The ‘small’ is a single patty and a ‘regular’ is 4 patties. Who can eat 4 patties of beef? The actual menu was interesting though, as this was my first Five Guys experience. The price includes free toppings so you can build your burger any way you like it. Reminded me a Fuddrucker’s.
There’s already two reviews on Yelp, including this one from Tony R.:
Just went in on the grand opening day for the new Lynnwood location and I am a convert. I think Five Guys has the best burgers of any quick service/fast food restaurant. I ordered the little bacon cheeseburger (about 1/4 pound of burger is not little too me) and it was sooo good. Unlimited toppings allowed me to create my own burger (bbq, mayo, grilled onions, pickles) without the added cost of the boutique places that offer the same thing. The bacon and burger were both of really high quality.
Recently the Zagat survey ranked Five Guys as the best fast food burger in America, ahead of In-N-Out Burger.
We would be remiss if we didn’t mention that Lynnwood was already home to at least two great locally-owned burger places — Redline Burger Co. and Dave’s Burgers.
