A meeting to organize new Girl Scout troops is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., March 25 at the Alderwood Community Church (West Entrance).
New troops, volunteers and girls will join over 700 girls in South Snohomish County now actively participating in local Girl Scout activities. Girls can start Girl Scouting anytime during the year to accommodate the varying schedules of busy girls and their families.
A new troop needs a minimum of five girls and two adult volunteers. Adult volunteers don’t need any previous Girl Scout experience and don’t need to be a parent. All adult volunteers are supported with training and guidance to support their role with Girl Scouts.
Walk-ins are welcome but a reply is helpful to the meeting organizer. For additional information or to confirm attendance, please contact Jaycie Wakefield at 360-658-8083 or by email at jwakefield@girlscoutsww.org. More information about Girl Scouts of Western Washington events and summer camp can be found on-line at www.girlscoutsWW.org.
Alderwood Community Church is located at 3043 Alderwood Mall Boulevard.
