Construction crews are making good progress at the new Meadowdale Middle School. The project is about two-thirds done.
Inside the building, mechanical and electrical systems are being installed and drywall is going up in some areas. Outside, most of the windows have been installed and exterior siding and paneling are being done.
The main and auxiliary gyms were completed last summer and the students have been using them since last fall.
The new school is on track to open this September.
The project was funded by the voter-approved 2006 Capital Construction Bond, which also paid for the new Lynnwood High School.
