The Edmonds School District announced today that four new principals for schools in and around Lynnwood have been hired for the 2011-12 school year:

Erin Murphy – Alderwood Middle School
Erin has been an Assistant Principal at Mountlake Terrace High School since 2007. She brought extensive administrative experience to the district from Poulsbo Jr. High where she taught 9th grade horticultural science and 8th and 9th grade leadership class, served as an administrative intern, and Athletic Director.

Ryan Henderson – Beverly Elementary
Ryan has been the Principal at Lakewood Elementary in the Lakewood School District (Snohomish County) since 2009. Before going to Lakewood, he served as Assistant to the Principal (TOSA) and Title 1 Reading Specialist at Hillcrest Elementary in the Lake Stevens School District.

Tom Trexel – Martha Lake Elementary
Tom will be returning to Edmonds – from 2000-10 he served at Lynndale Elementary as an administrative intern, teacher of Title 1/Special Education and Grades 2 & 5, was on the District Elementary Curriculum Mapping Project from 2008-10, and was a member of various leadership teams.

Jane O’Brien – Hilltop Elementary
Jane will bring years of experience from serving as an intern at Lynndale Elementary, a professional development specialist and a coach in the Renton School District.
