Dogs and their owners can enjoy the spirit of the season during Off-Leash Area Edmonds’ Ninth Annual Halloween Howl Saturday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. The event will be at the off-leash dog beach, 498 Admiral Way in Edmonds.
There will be pet-friendly vendor booths, a silent auction and raffle, and the always-popular doggie costume contest. Judging for the costume contest will be at 1 p.m. There will be prizes for “Most Original,”“Funniest,” “Best Sports Team Dog,” and “Best Owner and Dog Combination.” All entrants will take home a goody-bag of doggie treats.
Hot dogs and sodas for the humans will be for sale outside the off-leash area. Smoked dog bones provided by Celtic Cowboy BBQ will be for sale inside the park with proceeds going to Off-Leash Area Edmonds (O.L.A.E.).
Edmonds Animal Control will again be in attendance to answer questions, and let citizens tour the Animal Control vehicle. As a community service, O.L.A.E. will pay for new City of Edmonds dog licenses.
