No identification released in Lynnwood man's death

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s office is withholding the identification of a 72-year-old Lynnwood male killed Friday night in Mountlake Terrace until next-of-kin can be notified. The man suffered fatal injuries when the van he was driving was struck by another van at the corner of 212th Street SW and 44th Avenue West.

The alleged driver of the second van is being held on more than $257,000 bail at the Snohomish County Jail in Everett. Charges of vehicular homicide and possession of drug paraphernalia are pending.

Meanwhile, no new information is available about the 30-year-old Edmonds man killed in the southbound lanes of I-5 in Mountlake Terrace last Friday. The victim is believed to have stepped or ran out into traffic and was hit by a semi-truck near the 220th Street overpass around 7:30 a.m.
