No update yet in search for teen missing from Mukilteo

Tyler Christensen

So far, there is no update in the search for 16-year-old Tyler Christensen, who was last seen late Tuesday.

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office detectives and search and rescue units began a missing persons investigation for Christensen on Wednesday. Christensen has no runaway history and his disappearance is considered suspicious because he has strong ties to his family and church.

Christensen was last seen Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. in the Beverly Park area wearing a blue T-shirt and blue shorts. He had left his home on foot to attend a youth group meeting at a church in the 4700 block of 116th Street Southwest. Christensen did not arrive at the church, nor did he return to his home in unincorporated Edmonds. His family reported him missing around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Christensen is 5’11” and 145 lbs. with blue eyes and light brown hair in a buzz cut.

Anyone who has information about this investigation or knows of Christensen’s whereabouts should call 911 or the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office anonymous tipline at 425-388-3845.

  1. How do you really expect any help from the public and others when you do not give relevant details such as the name of the church he was going to. Does he have a girl friends and is he on the face book etc. They have family here and even they do not know the name of the church etc. It is said because this could happen. Is the boy prone not come at nights without informing his parents , if not then why the alarm was given next morning. We had a girl missing her, she showed up In Mexico 8 years later. Now all our prayers and sympathy for the family but the cues ought to be known and advertised
