Two officers dragged by suspect vehicle on I-5

Two Lynnwood police special operations officers suffered minor injuries when they were dragged by a suspect’s vehicle on I-5. It happened Thursday night about 10 p.m.

The officers were trying to arrest a 27-year-old man on southbound I-5 just north of 220th Street SW. Police say the officers were dragged by the vehicle as the suspect tried to get away.

“Medic crews did respond to evaluate the officers, who were not transported to the hospital,” police spokesperson Shannon Sessions said.

The suspect was later captured and arrested. He’s facing charges of assault on two police officers, eluding police and drug possession.

Some southbound lanes were closed during the investigation.

  1. WOW……….you’d think that the “Protectors of the public” would have enough sense to LET GO OF A MOVING VEHICLE before it dragged and injured them.

I guess you cannot account for IQ, even when they wear a badge.

    DERT DEEET DERRRR…! ! !
