Lynnwood man injured in motorcycle accident

A Lynnwood man was injured last night in a motorcycle accident on Highway 530 near Oso. According to KOMONews.com, the crash was caused by another motorcyclist, who was intoxicated and heading the wrong way on the rural highway:

An investigation determined that a 49-year-old Marysville man was heading west in the highway’s eastbound lane on a 2009 Harley-Davidson FXSTC. At the same time, a 57-year-old Lynnwood man was riding a 2004 Harley-Davidson XLH120 west in the westbound lane.

A 1989 Honda Accord approached, heading east, and the 2009 Harley slammed into it. The impact sent the motorcycle across the centerline, where it slammed into the 2004 Harley.

Both men, who were wearing their helmets, were airlifted to Harborview. Their conditions have not been released. The woman in the car had minor injuries.
