A body has been found on the beach near Picnic Point County Park.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office received a call shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday from a train conductor who spotted a possible body washed ashore just south of the park. Deputies responded and found a man’s body on the beach.
“It appears he was washed ashore. Deputies don’t believe he was hit by a train. They are still at the scene investigating, but there is no sign of foul play at this time,” said Rebecca Hover, sheriff spokesperson.
Hover said they are in contact with the Seattle Police Harbor Patrol Unit after a report of a man who went missing off a boat Tuesday night in the Seattle area.
