Lynnwood Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two juveniles who assaulted a soccer coach after school hours on Wednesday, Feb. 6 outside of Meadowdale High School.
According to a Lynnwood police news release issued Friday, the victim — a 53-year-old Seattle man who coaches soccer for a non-school district team — was at the school with his teenage daughter waiting for other team members when three boys, unknown to the coach and his daughter, walked by. “The boys made some deplorable comments to the coach about his daughter,” the news release said. “Two of three boys assaulted the coach, the daughter was unharmed.” All three suspects fled the area on foot.
Other team members arrived and they called 911. The coach suffered multiple bruises and abrasions on his face, but declined medical attention.
The main suspect is described as a white male, about 15 to 17 years old, 5-10, 160 pounds, with shaggy blonde hair. The second suspect is about the same age with darker skin, angular features, short hair and described as “quiet.”
