Police need help in locating jewelry thief

Lynnwood Police Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a theft at a Lynnwood pawn shop. The theft occurred just after 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, in the 19800 block of Highway 99 in Lynnwood.

No one was hurt after a woman walked into the pawn shop, asked to see some jewelry from the display case then grabbed two trays filled with rings and ran out of the store.

It is believed the female suspect fled on foot and met up with a vehicle and drove off. The possible suspect vehicle was a gray-colored Buick Riviera driven by a black male.

The female suspect is described as being a black female about 20 years-old. She is about 5-foot-2 tall and about 160 pounds wearing red shorts and a black shirt.

Lynnwood Police Detectives are working with other agencies to see if this robbery is connected to any others in the region.
