Edmonds Police have obtained surveillance photographs of the suspect in the Alaska Credit Union robbery which occurred inside the Aurora Marketplace Safeway store on Highway 99 Sunday at 1:20 p.m. The suspect made off with an undetermined amount of money and is still at large. According to police spokesman Sgt. Mark Marsh, the man entered the branch and handed the teller a note, stating he had a gun and ordering the teller to hand over the all the money.
The man then fled the bank, heading south on foot through the Safeway store parking lot, with an undetermined amount of cash, and is still at large, Marsh said. The suspect was described by witnesses as a Hispanic male, 5-7 tall with a small build, in his early 20s with brown hair. He was seen wearing a checkered hoodie that had large squares and a white T-shirt underneath, and white and gray tennis shoes. Witnesses also said that the male had a scruffy beard and a slight mustache.
