The Archbishop Murphy Wildcats took over sole possession of first place in the 2A/3A Wesco League South Conference standings with a 4-3 victory over the Lynnwood Royals Friday at Lynnwood High School.
Junior Josiah Santiago provided the hitting punch for the Wildcats, going 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and an RBI in the game.
The Royals pushed across three runs on just two hits off ABM’s Jack Johnson and Cole Calnon; Johnson was credited with the mound victory.
Lynnwood will try to get back at the Wildcats in the second game of their two-game series, set for Tuesday, April 9, at Archbishop Murphy High School in Everett; first pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
