In a game that started on Tuesday, Lynnwood scored an unearned run in the top of the seventh to defeat Mountlake Terrace 2-1 in a non-conference baseball game Thursday at Mountlake Terrace High School

Freshman Jared Whitman scored for the Royals off a sacrifice fly by sophomore Brady Girgus. Whitman had reached base after being hit in the helmet by Hawk pitcher Ben Reijonen, then took second base on a throwing error by Reijonen and reached third on a bunt.

The game had been suspended in the second inning due to rain on Tuesday, then picked up where it had left off Wednesday afternoon at Mountlake Terrace High School.
