It’s the final week of the prep football 2019 regular season, but the Meadowdale Mavericks hope that their performance this Friday will lead to more football this year.

The Mavericks Mavericks will contest for a berth in the WIAA 3A State Football Tournament when they take on the Bellevue Wolverines on Friday, Nov. 8, in a Week 10 Playoff game; kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.

The winner of the Mav-Wolverines tilt will punch their ticket to the 16-team 3A state tournament that begins with games on Nov. 15 and 16; matchups will be determined by committee seeding.

The Mavs — who have yielded 121 points in their last two outings — will be challenged to slow down a Wolverine offense that has averaged more than 34 points per game this year and is the no.4-ranked 3A team in the state according to the most recent AP and Seattle Times state rankings.
