Prep girls basketball: Mavs beat Lake Washington 57-47


The Meadowdale Lady Mavericks were able to break open a close game in the final quarter on Wednesday to earn their third victory of the season.

By outscoring Lake Washington 18-10 in the fourth quarter, the Lady Mavs were able to defeat the Kangaroos 57-47 in a non-conference girls basketball contest played at Meadowdale High School.

Fatoumata Jaiteh led Meadowdale in scoring with 19 points; Alicia Morrison contributed 11 points in the victory.

The Lady Mavs will travel to Mukilteo on Thursday, Dec. 27, for their next game, a 7:15 p.m. affair with the Kamiak Knights.
