Meadowdale’s Colton Davis was named one of the WIAA’s 12 varsity athletes of the week for March 31-April 5.

Davis scored two goals to lead the Mavericks to a 3-0 victory over Mount Vernon in a boys soccer game on April 4.

Each week throughout the school year, the WIAA recognizes 12 varsity athletes, a male and a female from each of the six classifications, who exhibited an outstanding performance for the previous week. All varsity level students in good academic standing at their schools are eligible to receive the WIAA State Athlete of the Week Award. Students may win the WIAA State Athlete of the Week Award once during any given academic year. Each winner of the WIAA State Athlete of the Week Award will receive a letter of recognition from the WIAA Executive Director, a commemorative WIAA State Athlete of the Week T-Shirt and certificate.
