The Meadowdale boys and Lynnwood girls track and field teams each finished eighth in their respective meets at the annual Larry Eason Invitational Saturday at Snohomish High School.
The Mavericks were led by Malix Braxton, who took fourth in the triple and long jumps and Chris Grant, who placed fourth in the 110-meter high hurdles and sixth in the 300 hurdles. Teammate Margaryonta Kipcup finished third in the 100 and Trevor White took eighth in the pole vault. The 400 relay team of Kilcup, Steeven Buonto, Michael Milo and Braxton took sixth and the distance medley relay team of Dominic Giordano, Trevor White, Josh Verzola and Zach Plummer placed eighth.
Lynnwood’s Tyler McArthur took second in the 800 and was third in the high jump.
In the girls meet, Lynnwood’s Mikayla Pivec finished second in the javelin and 1,600 and third in the 800. Teammate Grace Douglas was eighth in the 400. The distance medley team of Madison Bryson-Eyer, Douglas, Mikayla Pivec and Malia Pivec finished second.
