Proposed 13-story tower would be tallest building in Lynnwood

The current business park would need to be demolished to make room for the tower.

Plans are in the works to build a 13-story tower that would become the tallest building in Lynnwood.

The mixed-use building of commercial and residential spaces would be located at 4208 198th Street SW, where a business park is currently located.

“We are just at the start of the review process,” Paul Krauss, Community Development Director told us. “We have 28 days from submittal to see if the application is complete. If it is, the city can take up to 120 days to review it.  Only then could they apply for building permits which themselves could take several months to review  a project of this scale.”

The 13-story tower fits into Lynnwood’s City Center project, a 20-year plan that will create a mixed-use city core that blends residential, retail and businesses with open space in a pedestrian-friendly environment. It includes the area bounded on the north 194th Street SW, the east and south by I-5 and the west by 48th Avenue W.

  1. This will be great for our city and hopefully set off a chain reaction of new developments in a the part of Lynnwood that needs it the most.
