Public meetings start this week on Lynnwood Link light rail extension Draft EIS

The public is invited to comment on the Lynnwood Link Extension Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), which was recently released by Sound Transit and the Federal Transit Administration.

The draft impact statement evaluates light rail route and station alternatives and describes the project’s potential effects on the environment, nearby properties and transportation, as well as other impacts. Comments are requested by Sept. 23.

The DEIS can be found here. It is also available at local libraries, including the Edmonds, Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace libraries. Or you can make an appointment with Sound Transit to view it by calling 206-398-5344.

A response to comments made will appear in the Final EIS, which is expected in 2014. Input can be given by email at or by mail at Sound Transit, Draft EIS Comments, c/o Lauren Swift, 401 S. Jackson St., Seattle, WA 98104.
