Purse theft leads to shooting

Update: Police have arrested three suspects in the case.

A theft turned into a scary situation near Tuesday night.

Lynnwood police tell us it all started when a woman’s purse was stolen about 10 p.m. in the 2500 block of 196th St. SW. The victim called 911, then got into a car and started following the suspect. At one point the suspect or suspects shot at the victim’s car and left at least one bullet hole.

No one was hurt and officers are still looking for the shooter.

Check back for more information as we have it.

  1. Taking a bullet for a purse? What the heck was in it? Gold bricks?

I am glad the woman wasn’t injured. It is better to take the license plate number and call the cops.
