Thing 1 and Thing 2 were spotted Thursday afternoon in the Lynnwood Crossroads shopping center, located at the intersection of 196th Street Southwest and Highway 99.
They were showing kids and their parents around to various businesses participating in Read Across America — an annual event that raises money for Edmonds School District libraries.
Great Clips, MOD Pizza, Yogurtland and Hop Jacks all had games and activities inside.
More Read Across America events are planned in downtown Edmonds on Saturday. Lynnwood Bowl and Skate is also hosting two weeks of “Bowling for Books.” Every time folks tell the counter staff that they are “Bowling for Books” during the weeks of Feb. 29–March 3 and March 7-10, 50 percent of the discounted bowling fee will be donated to Read Across America for Edmonds School District libraries.
