County Executive Reardon wants to hear from you

What county services are most important to you? Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon wants to know.

Reardon will host a community meeting in Lynnwood next week to hear from the public on 2011 budget priorities.

The meeting is set for Monday, May 10, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Lynnwood Fire Station (188th Street SW and 44th Avenue West). It will feature a brief overview of the county’s financial crisis before Reardon takes public comment on what services residents believe should be protected, eliminated or are essential to their quality of life.

“Just as Snohomish County residents must watch what they spend and how they spend it, Snohomish County is no different,” Reardon said.

Last month the Snohomish County Council ordered across-the-board cuts of 2.6 percent.
