At 11:30 a.m. today, city officials will cut the ribbon and open the newly remodeled Rec Center. Free swimming and tours will be available between 1 – 3 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m.
The renovation of the 33 year-old building, with a cost of $25 million, adds 16,000 square feet of new space with a focus on aquatics and fitness. It features a new recreation pool with two water slides, a river with current, beach entry and water play structures, warm water wellness pool, a new partially retractable pool roof over the lap pool, and adult and family hot tubs.
The 3,000 square foot cardio/weight room features Precor equipment. There is a new 1,600 square foot fitness/dance studio, seven family changing rooms, new men’s and women’s locker rooms, two racquetball courts, new mechanical systems and new interiors throughout.
“It’s Lynnwood’s Magic Kingdom,” Parks and Rec Director Lynn Sordel told us earlier this week.

I’ll post the same information to my blog, thanks for ideas and great article.
