Crews are getting ready to install the new play equipment at the Lynnwood Recreation Center.
“The Edge” play structure will be on the outdoor patio north of the new leisure pool. It features all sorts of play elements including spinning, sliding, climbing, rocking, balancing, social and pretend play for kids of all abilities. It will have a stainless steel slide, curly climber, climbing wall, twisty net, stepping orbits and a hang-out area underneath. Other freestanding equipment includes sitting and standing spinners, and an 11-foot seesaw with a balancing platform.
The playground patio will be surfaced a rubberized interlocking tile system that offers impact resistance for falls up to ten feet high.
The newly remodeled rec center is expected to open in April 2011.
