Recall: Pacifiers sold at local stores present choking hazard

Baby product brand Munchkin is recalling is Latch lightweight pacifiers because of a choking hazard.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, there have been 10 reports of the clip cover detaching from the pacifier, which could present a choking hazard. Five of the 10 incidents were reported in the U.S., while the other five were reported in Canada.

The recall involves Latch lightweight pacifiers and clips sold as a set with the model numbers MKFE0391, MKFE0392 and MKFE0393. They were sold from April 2014 to February 2016 at Babies R Us, Target, Wal-Mart and Amazon, among other retailers, for between $11 and $15.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends parents immediately take the pacifier away from their children and contact Munchkin for a free replacement pacifier pack containing two pacifiers or a full refund. For more information, call Munchkin at 877-242-3134.
