The Hazel Miller Conversations in the Humanities presents a talk by acclaimed Asian-American author Shawn Wong at 7 p.m. Feb. 12 at Edmonds Community College’s Black Box Theatre.
Wong will chat about “How to Write a Novel in Only 30 Years,” a reflection on the writing process. Wong will lead a conversation that unpacks the phrase ‘the creative process,” and explores how a work of fiction is made. He will talk about how writing might move from something autobiographical to something fictional, and how we “edit” the story of our lives through what we leave out and what we include.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information see, www.blackboxedcc.org
