Cascadia Art Museum is looking for volunteers to assist with museum’s grand opening in Edmonds’ Salish Crossing in September. And it’s as easy as clicking on the page above to sign up. Once you do, you’ll be connected to “Sign Up Genius,” which allows you to pick the position you want to fill, and the days and times you want to volunteer.

The new museum, dedicated to the legacy of Northwest art from the 19th century through the mid-Modernist period, is planning an array of events and activities in September, starting with the opening celebration and inaugural exhibition on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 5:30-9 p.m., and the public opening on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12 and 13.

Between 70-100 people will be needed to fill a number of shifts, said Edmonds resident Jim Clark, who is overseeing volunteer recruitment. The goal is to align each volunteer’s talents with positions available, from tour guides to security personnel to many other opportunities.
