Reminder: City hosts Black History celebration on Thursday at Lynnwood Fire Station 15


The Lynnwood Neighborhoods & Demographic Diversity Commission and the City of Lynnwood are hosting a Black History Month Celebration, Building Bridges in Our Community With Trust and Inclusion, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 26 at Fire Station 15, 18800 44th Ave. W.

The keynote speaker will be Snohomish County Executive John Lovick. Also appearing are Lynnwood Mayor Nicola Smith, Fire Chief Scott Cockrum, and members of the Diversity Commission.

The program inclueds performances from the Second Baptist Gospel Choir, poetry reading, light refreshments, safety demonstrations and more.
