Reminder: Lynndale Elementary School plans farewell event on Friday

Lynndale Elementary School staff and families are inviting the public to join them in bidding farewell to their old building on Friday, June 12.

If you ever worked at Lynndale, attended Lynndale, had students attend Lynndale or just live in the neighborhood and have watched the school from afar over the years, you are invited for “The Last Hurrah!”

The building was constructed in 1957, and has served thousands of families throughout the years. It will be torn down and replaced with a new building, to be completed in December 2016.

The final event will include a carnival that starts at 4 p.m. (there is a small fee for some attractions). Then, at 5:30 p.m. come for a barbecue with hot dogs and potluck items (please bring your favorite salad, side dish, or dessert to share).

View the ‘memory’ table, reunite with friends, take one last tour of the old building, walk around the grounds and reminisce and see plans of the new building.

Call the school at 425-431-7365 with any questions you may have. Download a The Last Hurrah Invite to share with your friends.
