The Lynnwood Memorial Day program will be at 11 a.m., Monday, May 27 at Lynnwood Veterans Park.
The Northwest Jr. Pipe band will play bagpipe selections before a welcome address by City Council President Loren Simmonds. VFW Post 1040 Commander Martin Spani will cite the Pledge of Alligiance and VFW Post 1040 Past Chaplain and former Lynnwood Councilmember George Janecke will give the Invocation.
Additional music will be provided by VFW Post 1040 Piper Ray Colby, VFW Post 1040 Bugler Glenn Ledbetter, Woodinville High School lead trumpeter Josiah Chupik and country recording artist Garret Lloyd King.
The laying of the wreaths will be by Lynnwood America Legion Post 37/WWII US Army veteran Bill Endicott and Lynnwood VFW Post 1040/WWII U.S. Marines Corps veteran Art Clemente. The flag ceremony will be led by Boy Scout of America Troop 49 and a rifle salute will be by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1040 Honor Guard.
