Reminder: Lynnwood seeking citizen input on Parks and Recreation at open house on Monday, Oct. 14

The city of Lynnwood will be hosting two open houses in October and November for residents to provide their input on the city’s parks and recreation.

The Lynnwood community is invited to attend open houses on Monday, Oct. 14 and Monday, Nov. 4. Both open houses will be from 4-7 p.m. at the Lynnwood Recreation Center, 18900 44th Ave. W. in Lynnwood.

The Lynnwood Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Department is beginning an update of the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Comprehensive Plan. This long range planning document works together with the city of Lynnwood Comprehensive Plan and the Capital Facilities Plan to provide goals and create an action plan for providing park and recreation services through 2025.

Community involvement will be integral in development of the new Plan. Community members provide the vision for the future of parks and recreation; verify the demand for services; and live and work in the neighborhoods where the city is providing facilities and services.

This is an opportunity to let the city know what your parks and recreation needs are – now and in the future. The whole family is invited. Healthy snacks will be provided.
