Update: Take a Stand Against Racism on Friday, April 25, at City Council Chambers

The city and the YWCA invite the community to participate in the annual Stand Against Racism event at 3:30 p.m., Friday, April 25 in the City Council chambers.

Join Mayor Nicola Smith, Council President Loren Simmonds, Mary-Anne Dillon of the YWCA of Seattle | King | Snohomish, Dr. Tonya Drake of Edmonds Community College, and members of the Diversity Commission as the city celebrates the great diversity of Lynnwood.

The annual event brings together hundreds of thousands of people across the nation, from all walks of life, to call attention to the legacy of discrimination and raise awareness that racism still exists. The Stand Against Racism event is a national movement of the YWCA.
