Reminder: Traffic disruptions to start on Monday, July 29

MyNNNBeginning July 29, Williams Pipeline and Puget Sound Energy will be working on their gas pipeline under 188th Street SW between 33rd Avenue W and 36th Avenue W. The work requires full closure of 188th Street SW between 33rd and 36th Avenues. This location is adjacent to Alderwood Mall’s main Southwest Entrance.

188th Street SW will be closed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Traffic will be routed to 184th Street SW. The full closure is expected to last 3 to 4 weeks. The work hours during the full closure are from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. 188th Street SW may be open to one way traffic as construction progresses.

In conjunction with this closure, Puget Sound Energy will also be doing night work on the main at the intersection of 196th Street SW and 44th Avenue W from 9:30 pm to 6:15 am. Work at this location will restrict lanes and backups should be anticipated.
