Earlier this week the ATF put up a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in last month’s theft at Lynnwood Gun and Ammo. Now the reward has doubled.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation – the trade association for the firearms industry – has announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the March 26 burglary in which 100 guns were stolen.
“Our matching reward offer will hopefully help assist ATF and local law enforcement in solving this crime against a federally licensed firearms dealer and lead to the swift recovery of stolen firearms before they can enter the illegal underground black market where they can be misused to commit violent crimes,” said Steve Sanetti, president of the NSSF.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the ATF’s 24-hour tip line at 1-800-ATF-GUNS (800-283-4867), the ATF Seattle Field Division Office at 206-389-5800 or Detective Anne Miles with the Lynnwood Police Department at 425- 670-5669 or 425-670-5600. Callers may remain anonymous.
