One week after Girl Scout Cadette Troop 41002 installed an interpretive trail at Lynndale Park, the ribbon was officially cut for the new feature.

Lynnwood Mayor Nicola Smith was on hand for the ceremony Saturday, along with cadettes Emma Sturgill, Kendra Roark, Izabela Sanchez Nobles and Nina Otebele.

The interpretive trail includes 18 signs identifying 17 different plants in Lynndale Park. It took the cadettes over a year to complete the research, develop a proposal and make the signs.
