Rolling showdown: Roller derby tryouts this weekend in Lynnwood

Are you a women who loves to skate? The Tilted Thunder Rail Birds want you.

Tilted Thunder Rail Birds is a relatively new, all-female roller derby league. And they’re holding tryouts this weekend at Lynnwood Bowl and Skate.

The Rail Birds use a banked track rather than the flat track used by the Rat City Rollergirls. (Read more about the Rail Birds at SeattlePI.com.)

  • Saturday, April 25, – 10:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. (please arrive 15 min early to sign in)
  • Bring the following to tryouts:
    Copy of primary health insurance
    Copy of photo ID
    Protective equipment (helmet, mouth guard, elbow pads, wrist guards and knee pads)
    Skates
    Great attitude

Tryouts will include a minimum skill level assessment and an interview.
