
The Rotary Club of Lynnwood bid farewell to outgoing President Wayne Anthony and welcomed incoming President Marilla Sargent during a Rotating of the Wheel ceremony on Thursday, June 30.

The Rotary Club of Lynnwood was established in 1955. Marilla Sargent is the club’s 62nd President and has been a member of the Rotary Club of Lynnwood since August 2004. She has been serving on the Lynnwood Rotary Community Foundation Board for seven years and was the club’s Scholarship Chair for eight years.

During the 2015-2016 Rotary year, the Rotary Club gave out $77,500 in scholarships to 19 students in the South Snohomish County community. Last year’s session was the fourth year that the club also gave the Edmonds School District grant money for their Early Learning Program. This year’s grant was for $20,000.
The Rotary Club of Lynnwood meets on Thursday from 12-1:30 PM at Edmonds Community College, located at 20000 68th Ave. W. Their calendar of meetings can be found here.
