The Lynnwood Royals were no match for their opponents on the soccer pitch and in the pool on Thursday as the Royals suffered losses to Archbishop Murphy Wildcats and Shorewood Thunderbirds.
Archbishop Murphy blanked the Royals 5-0 in a Wesco League girls soccer match played at Lynnwood High School. The result propelled the Wildcats into a three-way tie at the top of the 2A/3A Wesco League standings and kept the Royals from climbing out of 12th place in the 15-team league.
At the Shoreline Pool, Lynnwood’s girls swim team were defeated by the Thunderbirds 131-44.
