The first tower crane to appear in the city of Lynnwood is now at work on the City Center Senior Living Apartments site at 19501 40th Ave. W. The construction is part of the City Center Plan, aimed at creating “a compact, intense and lively City Center that offers Lynnwood new opportunities for culture, commerce and habitation,” according to a City of Lynnwood announcement. The area is along the 196th Street Southwest corridor between 33rd Avenue West and 48th Avenue West. Construction is underway on three projects: an eight-story senior housing building, a 150-room Hilton Garden Inn and the seven-story City Center Apartments.
