Scene in Lynnwood: Starting the morning with business energy

It was a lively morning for business networking at Edmonds Community College’s Gateway Hall, as the Lynnwood Chamber of Commerce Thursday hosted a group of about 50 members and guests for breakfast supplied by Chef Dane (courtesy of sponsors BDub Relations and the Edmonds CC Foundation).

Featured speaker was Coldwell Banker Bain Realtor Wayne Purser, who talked about his efforts to become a story teller, and the role that writing about his life experiences has played in improving sales, personal and business relationships.

Also at the meeting, two members of the City of Lynnwood’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission shared the news about the commission’s “All Are Welcome” initiative. Commissioners are visiting local businesses, service providers and community gathering places and asking people to join in the effort to create a safe and welcoming city by displaying the new “All Are Welcome” window decal in a visible location.
