Science enthusiasts invited to STEM event

Edmonds-CC-logoEdmonds Community College invites students, parents, and teachers from the community to spring into science at STEM Saturday, 1-3 p.m., Feb. 23 in the Brier Hall lobby on campus.

The annual event’s goal is to engage community members in hands-on activities to explore science, technology, engineering, and math. There will be hands-on activities for kids of all ages – including a pollination station and an eggdrop engineering contest.

There will also be opportunities to learn about resources from STEM instructors and time to connect with Edmonds CC STEM students. Refreshments will be served and there will be a raffle with prizes.

STEM Saturday is free and open to the public. RSVPs are requested at rise@edcc.edu. For more information, go here.

STEM Saturday is sponsored by Edmonds Community College and campus programs: RISE (Relationships in Science Education / www.edcc.edu/RISE), MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Achievement / www.edcc.edu/MESA), and the Center for Service-Learning (www.edcc.edu/servicelearning).
