Shining examples of service

CIMG1817-002The Lynnwood Kiwanis Club celebrated its 50th anniversary with a special brunch on Saturday, June 8 at the Lynnwood Embassy Suites. Among the guests were Lynnwood Mayor Don Gough and Lynnwood City Council President Loren Simmonds. The club’s leadership was recognized starting with Arv Hullin, the club’s first president, and ending with 2013-14 president David Little.

Among the members honored were charter member Bryon Gourley (pictured above about to give a brief speech with son Brett) and Robert Olson (below), who along with his wife Helen donated a house that later became the Lynnwood Kiwanis House, which provided housing for unwed mothers.

  1. Two wonderful gentlemen! Pleased to see that you recognize the time and service these 2 men have given to this community. Lynnwood Kiwanis is full of dedicated volunteers that work hard to help this community.
