Small fire at Public Storage on 196th

Here’s a testament to the hot and dry conditions around Puget Sound today.

Two or three trees caught fire near the Public Storage at 4600 196th Street SW. The call came in just before 3:30 p.m.

According to fire spokesperson Cathy Rizzo, one unit responded and quickly put out the fire, which was adjacent to a brick wall. No storage units were damaged.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
