After a regionwide issue with 911 service in Washington and Oregon, SNOCOM 911 reported that the agency was able to restore its ability to answer 911 calls at approximately 6:15 a.m. on Thursday.
SNOCOM is the emergency response agency for south Snohomish County, and answers police and fire 911 calls for Mountlake Terrace, Brier, Edmonds, Woodway, Lynnwood and unincorporated areas of the southern portion of the county.
“Several test calls have been made and they’ve been coming through with no problem,” said a SNOCOM 911 spokesperson.
If residents of south Snohomish County experience difficulty in getting through with emergency 911 calls, the agency advised to contact them on their 10-digit emergency phone number, 425-775-4545.
