Snohomish County Democrats endorse Gough, Boyer

The Snohomish County Democrats have endorsed incumbent Mayor Don Gough and incumbent Lynnwood City Councilmember M. Christopher Boyer (position 1) for reelection.

Gough was elected Mayor in 2005 and reelected in 2009. He previously served 10 years on the City Council. Gough was elected the first Council President and Mayor Pro-Tem during 2000-2001. He served five years on the finance committee and was its chair for 2003-2004. He also served two years on the public safety committee. Gough was past liaison to the Fire, Police, Community Development, Library and Parks departments. He was the Medic 7 representative for six years and SnoCom (911) representative/alternate for nine years.

Boyer was selected to fill an unexpired term on the Lynnwood City Council in December of 2012. He became Pastor of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Lynnwood in 2005, following a 27-year career in professional and academic theatre as an actor, director, technician, administrator and educator. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Church Council of Greater Seattle, where he is currently President.
