Snohomish County Fire District 1 calls: Feb. 20-March 5

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 643 calls Feb. 20-March 5: 527 emergency medical aid calls, 44 motor vehicle collisions, 21 fires, 15 service calls, 3 natural gas leaks, 1 technical rescue response and 32 automatic fire alarms.

Feb. 22

TRUCK FIRE: At 12:12 a.m., firefighters extinguished a truck fire in the 22700 block of Popular Way in Brier.

Feb. 23

COLLISION: At 3:28 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett after responding to a vehicle that rolled once and came to rest on its wheels on northbound I-5 south of 128th Street SW near Everett.

COLLISION: At 3:37 p.m., two separate two car accidents were reported in the left hand lanes on northbound I-5 north of 164th Street SW near Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room.

Feb. 24

COLLISION: At 3:33 a.m., a car struck a Department of Transportation truck on northbound I-5 south of 220th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace. Four people in the car were injured. Firefighters transported two patients to Harborview Medical Center and one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital. The other patient did not want to go to the hospital.

COLLISION: At 11:44 p.m., a car struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Airport Road and Highway 99 south of Everett. Firefighters transported the injured pedestrian to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

Feb. 25

HOUSE FIRE: At 12:30 a.m., a house fire was reported in the 5600 block of 134th Street SE in Everett. Four people and a cat escaped the burning building when a smoke alarm sounded. Two of the residents – a woman and her young daughter – were exposed to smoke and were transported by firefighters to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room as a precaution. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and kept the fire contained to the living room area, but the upper level of the split-entry home sustained heavy smoke damage. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office determined the cause of the fire was electrical and estimated damage at $125,000.

Feb. 26

CAR FIRE: At 12:52 p.m., firefighters extinguished a car fire on the I-5 southbound exit to 164th Street SW north of Lynnwood.

Feb. 28

COLLISION: At 5:28 a.m., a pedestrian was struck by a car in the 12400 block of Highway 99 south of Everett. Firefighters transported the injured pedestrian to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

COLLISION: At 4:44 p.m., a three-car collision was reported in the 22500 block of Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

March 3

COLLISION: At 10:02 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room after responding to a three-car collision at 164th Street SW and 3rd Avenue SE west of Mill Creek.

COLLISION: At 3:12 p.m., a car rolled over and was struck by another vehicle in the 22700 block of 44th Avenue W in Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters transported two patients to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

March 4

COLLISION: At 7:10 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at 216th Street SW and Highway 99 in Edmonds. One car fled. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

March 5

COLLISION: At 7:21 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a three-car collision on southbound I-5 north of milepost 177 in Mountlake Terrace.
